Omiz (Omeprazole) is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces stomach acid production by inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme in gastric parietal cells. It is used to treat acid-related disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
