Ivarin (Rosuvastatin) is a HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin) that lowers cholesterol by inhibiting the enzyme responsible for cholesterol synthesis in the liver. It effectively reduces LDL cholesterol (“bad” cholesterol), increases HDL cholesterol (“good” cholesterol), and decreases triglycerides. It is used to manage hyperlipidemia, prevent atherosclerosis, and reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with elevated cholesterol levels or other risk factors.
